Gov Otti is an Investment Magnet- Hon Chinasa

The Abia Radio and Television Executives (ARTEX) has hosted the Abia State Chief Liaison Officer in Abuja, Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, during its periodic Media Connect session held in Umuahia.


Speaking during the engagement, Chinasa expressed satisfaction with the performance of Alex Otti, describing his administration as intentional leadership in action.


He noted that the governor’s development blueprint is aimed at positioning Abia State as a major industrial hub capable of attracting investors, businesses, and residents from across Nigeria and beyond.


Chinasa added that ongoing infrastructural upgrades, investment-friendly policies, and governance reforms are already yielding visible results. 


He expressed optimism that the state would experience significant transformation in the next two years if current plans are sustained.


On politics, he emphasized that freedom of political association remains fundamental, reaffirming his continued affiliation with the Labour Party. 


He also described Governor Otti as an investment magnet, noting that investor confidence has grown because of perceived transparency, stability, and policy direction under his leadership.


According to him, the governor has also helped demystify executive leadership by promoting accessibility, accountability, and practical governance focused on measurable development outcomes.

Breaking News: Enugu Air suffers Engine Failure upon landing

At Enugu Airport today, a potentially tragic incident was narrowly averted when an Enugu Air aircraft experienced an engine failure immediately after landing. Nigeria, amongst 35 countries to face visa ban in US

Citizens of Nigeria and 35 other countries face imminent visa ban by the United States. President Donald Trump’s administration is considering the ban, which would be a significant expansion of the travel ban announced by his administration early this month. According to The Washington Post, the list of countries was contained in a State Department memo. At least 25 African countries are included in the proposed ban. In total, there are 25 African nations facing visa bans or other restrictions. Corruption in governance and unreliable identity documents are the major reasons for the proposed ban.  The memo, which was signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, revealed that the governments of listed countries have a 60-day ultimatum, to meet new benchmarks and requirements established by the State Department.
