BREAKING: Tribunal declares Adeleke winner of Osun guber poll

The Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal has declared Ademola Adeleke of the PDP as the winner of the controversial state election. The tribunal also declared the September 27 rerun election in the state illegal. The three-man panel of the Tribunal gave the judgement on Friday following the petition filed by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleka against the All Progressives Congress, APC and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola. The Tribunal also ruled that PDP and Adeleke proved that it was the state Returning Officer who cancelled the results in 7 Polling Units, adding that the petitioners also proved that the Returning Officer has no power to cancel election results of a polling unit. The Tribunal also deducted 2,029 votes from APC scores and 1,246 votes from PDP votes in 17 polling units where there was non compliance. Delivering the judgement, the panel had a split decision. Breaking!!! Enugu State Incumbent Gov flaws opposition to win Enugu gubernatorial polls… Sweeps all 17 LGAs

The Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been reelected to serve a second term as governor of the state as he polled the highest number of votes in each of the 17 local government areas of the state. The Governor who ran under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, polled a total of 449, 935 to defeat his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sen. Ayogu Eze who polled a total of 10, 423. While announcing the results at INEC office in Enugu, the state Collation Officer, Prof Joseph Ahanaku said that out of the 1,944,803 registered, just a paltry 478,241 votes were cast during the excercise. Prominent leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, on Wednesday unanimously applauded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for entrenching peace, tranquillity and good governance,  in a manner that has never been experienced before in the history of the state. Breaking: Enugu Guber: 70 Political Parties adopt Gov. Ugwuanyi as sole candidate

Seventy political parties in Enugu State, under the auspices of Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), have unanimously adopted Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as their consensus candidate for the March 9 governorship election in the state. The leaders of the political parties, who conveyed their stance to Gov. Ugwuanyi, when they paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Enugu, stated that “our mission here tonight is to reaffirm our total, unalloyed, unequivocal and unconditional support for your re-election as governor come March 9, 2019, which is barely 5 days away”.
