Buhari To Proceed On Medical Trip To London

President Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari will today proceed to London, the United Kingdom for a routine medical check-up. This was announced in a statement issued on Monday night by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina. Before departing the country for the UK, President Buhari would meet with the security chiefs in the morning. He is expected back in Nigeria during the second week of April 2021. President Buhari had embarked on several medical trips between 2015 and 2019. During one of his trips in 2017, he spent 103 days in London with the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, acting as the president then. His long absence sparked rumors that he had passed on – speculations which were denied by the presidency. Buhari’s health became a subject of debate in the last election in February 2020 when the opposition claimed he was not physically fit to govern — but Buhari won a second term. Demolished Works Layout property was erected on transmission line, waterway – ECTDA

...Insists devt. control exercise followed due process, aimed at safeguarding lives and property.  The Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority, ECTDA, on Monday, justified the development control activities it carried out at Works Layout, GRA, within the State capital. A resident of the State, Mr. Anthony Njoku had in a trending video accused the agency of pulling down his 15-year-old property without any justifiable reason. Njoku had claimed that he is only a victim of a vendetta and that he presented fence permits, certificate of occupancy, title documents and building plan approvals to the chairman of the agency, but it fell on deaf ears. Huawei sustains lead in global communications market by 31%

Huawei has maintained its leadership in the global wireless infrastructure market, increasing its market share by three per cent to 31 per cent. Analysts at the Dell’Oro for telecommunications infrastructure disclosed this in a report cited by Financial Street on Sunday. According to the analysts, the global wireless infrastructure market grew seven per cent in 2020, its fastest annual growth for a decade. The group said Huawei grew despite the decisions by the United States, and governments of other countries, mostly in Europe, to force their local carriers to exclude the Chinese group. Areas monitored included mobile core and radio access networks, broadband access; microwave and optical transport; SP router and carrier Ethernet switching, the researchers further stated. *Encourage residents to embrace vaccine The Enugu State government, on Friday, commenced COVID-19 vaccination in the state, starting with frontline health workers at the ESUT Teaching Hospital Isolation and Treatment Centre, Parklane, Enugu. Speaking during the exercise, the Executive Secretary, Enugu State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. George Ugwu, stated that the decision to start with frontline health workers was in line with the protocol of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) to give priority to those heath personnel working in the isolation and treatment centres.
