NIPOST Workers To Embark On Strike Monday, Seek Reforms

                                                                                                      NIPOST workers hold protest in Abuja on Friday, January 27th, 2023 Workers of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) staff are threatening to embark on industrial action from Monday, January 30th over alleged abandonment by the Federal Government. The protesting staff urged the Federal Government to urgently intervene before the industrial action commences. The General Secretary of the Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government-Owned Companies, Ayo Olorunfemi, led the protest on Friday. According to Olorunfemi, several staff members of the service have not been receiving any form of capital funding from Federal Government in the last 15 years. Breaking News: Tribunal sacks Adeleke as Governor

  Governor Adeleke The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of the state. The tribunal in a split document of two to one is declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Adeleke and issued same to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. The majority judgement which was read by the Chairman, Justice Tertse Kume said Oyetola scored the majority lawful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke’s 290,266. The minority judgement is ongoing.
