Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has warned that any government official, contractor or group of persons found to have contributed to the  present poor conditions of some primary schools under the Universal Basic Education Board in the state will face the full wrath of the law. Regretting that the state of affairs has undermined the conducive learning  environment that would have been available for the children vowed to take disciplinary action against any such contractor or official of the government at at the end of the present inquiry into what has gone amiss in the system. GOVERNOR UGWUANYI OF ENUGU STATE MOVES TO RESCUE STAGNATED GRADUATE CASUAL WORKERS AT IMT

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state yesterday came to the rescue of some grieving 20 graduate casual workers of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu who have been receiving N10,000 monthly salary each since 2005.   They had broken down in tears as the governor paid an unscheduled visit to the institution yesterday, telling the governor that since they had remained under that condition in agony, the system had continued to employ fresh graduates, leaving their (protesting workers) request for upgrade unattended to .   The workers alleged that they had “been working as casual workers in the school since 2005 as graduates on this small salary”   According to them, IMT had during the period under review continued to employ workers and placed them on appropriate  grade levels but would consider  them(complainants)  for such employment, their cognate experience notwithstanding. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has intervened in the recent dispute between the management of Rangers International Football Club, Enugu and its players over the non-payment of their salary arrears and other incentives. The players had expressed their displeasure, immediately after they qualified for the quarter final of the Federation Cup tournament at Abuja, over the non-payment of their salaries, which drew the attention of the state government and other stakeholders who pleaded with the players to understand the predicament of the management and return home.   The development prompted the decision of the governor to intervene in the matter by inviting the players and management of the club to a round table discussion with a view to addressing the issues and encourage the team to live up to its expectation to be able to break the jinx of winning a trophy for the state after 32 years.
