Obiano is alive!



The ongoing media buzz over a rumour that the immediate Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has passed on in London has been denied.

According to the Former Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba, he noted that the rumour has no basis adding that Obiano lives in the Texas, United Staes, and not London.

According to him, Obiano is not just alive, but healthy, strong and too agile for someone who has just turned 70 years.

He commended people from different walks of life across the globe, including leading international media like the BBC, for their acute interest in the former governor whose large heartedness and record of service delivery remain solid years by any standard.

Adinuba said the outpouring of love across the globe following the rumour shows how much Obiano matters to many, almost four years after leaving public office and choosing a quite private life abroad.

According to him, at only 70 years, Obiano has joined the pantheon of men like The Great Zik of Africa whose rumoured death turned out to be utterly false and without any foundation.

Senator Chukwu Debunks Rumour Of His Exit From Labour Party

Senator Kelvin Chukwu representing Enugu East Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly has denied the fake resignation letter circulating in the media, falsely claiming that he has resigned from the Labour Party.  The Sanator described it as a deliberate act of misinformation aimed at misleading the public and causing unnecessary confusion. Man Arrested In An Attempt To Vandalize Aba Power Infrastructure

Members of a neighbourhood watch operating on Ngwa Road by the Old Court in Aba, the Abia State commercial nerve centre, have apprehended a man in his 20s about to vandalize the Aba Power power distribution infrastructure in the locality. The man, Uchenna Iroha, was arrested when he was to start stealing the 500kva distribution transformer in the area without knowing that eagle-eyed security men had been monitoring him, according to Engr Ken Agu, the Chief Security officer of the Geometric Power group, the owner of the Aba Power Electric Company. “Uchenna, an indigene of the Ohuhu community in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, has for some time been suspected of involvement in the vandalism against the distribution transformer on two previous occasions in recent times”, explained Edise Ekong, the Aba Power Brand and Communications Manager, in a statement.
