PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES NEW NUJ PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE TEAM

Al Hassan Yahaya, NUJ President President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Alhassan Yahaya on his election as the President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) at the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference in Owerri,  on November 27, 2024.  The President also congratulates other newly elected members of the NUJ executive. FRANCE: PRESIDENT TINUBU SAYS NIGERIA'S REFORM WILL IMPACT AFRICA

  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lauded the amicable relations with French President Emmanuel Macron, appreciating his interest in Africa. Tinubu expressed confidence that Macron's goodwill would foster stronger bilateral ties, benefiting the entire continent. Microbe Madness: Health Group seeks end to self medication

In a bid to ensure critical issues around Antimicrobial Resistance, AMR are addressed, an art exhibition dubbed Microbe Madness was organised in Enugu.  The event which was put together by Art for Health Naija in partnership with Center for Memories was targeted at inspiring young minds on the need to use art to combat Antimicrobial Resistance.  Convener of the event, Rose-Camille Aneke emphasized the need for people to adopt preventive measures by engaging in practices such as regular hand washing, avoiding self-medication, adhering to prescribed medications, and getting vaccinated to prevent diseases.  According to Aneke, AMR has the ability to affect anyone at any stage in life, insisting that AMR was fast becoming one of the world’s most urgent public health problems that requires urgent attention. In other words, a liminal moment is a period of transition. The quest of Palestinians for statehood and the right to exist is going through a transition period in which the world is awakening to the fact that Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank and the institutionalised system of segregation used to administer the territories is neither tenable nor sustainable.
