BREAKING: Ohanaeze President Iwuanyanwu Is Dead



The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is dead.

Born September 1942, the leader of the apex Igbo organisation died on Thursday, 25th July, 2024.

Aged 82 years, Chief Iwuanyanwu was elected the PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo on the 20th of April, 2023 following the death of Prof. George Obiozor.

An associate who doesn’t want his name in print said the octogenarian died in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

He becomes the second President General of Ohanaeze Ndígbo to die in office after his predecessor, Prof. George Obiozor also died in office.

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is a prominent Nigerian businessman, politician, and philanthropist known for his significant contributions to various sectors, particularly in the Igbo community and beyond. He has been active in multiple business ventures, including real estate, manufacturing, and hospitality. In addition to his business accomplishments, Chief Iwuanyanwu has been involved in politics and has held various leadership positions within political parties. He is also known for his philanthropic initiatives, supporting education, healthcare, and community development projects.

The Nigerian Police Force, Zone 13 Command Ukpo, Anambra State has on Saturday 14th of October arrested the Head of Nursing Department Coal City University, Enugu, Mba Alphonsus.  Mba was taken to Emene police station shortly after he was taken into custody before he was moved to Zone 13 Ukpo where he's been detained.  He was arrested on allegation of identity theft and fraud he committed at the school of Post Basic Psychiatry, Enugu when he was the acting Principal.  According to the Police, his real name is mr Gregory Agbo from Nchatancha Nike but he started using WAEC result of his brother inlaw Alphonsus Mba. Shiite Muslim's Protest turns bloody in Abuja leaving two policemen dead, others injured

PHOTOS: Viewers discretion adviced!  An unplanned protest by Shiite Muslims in Abuja today has left two policemen dead, others injured with ten of the protesters gunned down by the police.  The attack which occurred around the Zone 7 police command at Zone 3 Wuse left lots of panic amongst residents and the nearby Wuse market, which was later shutdown as a result of the incident.  The remains of those killed in the course of the attack have been taken to the Wuse General Hospital while some others in critical condition were rushed to National Hospital Abuja.  So far no statement has been issued by either the Force Public Relations Officer or the group that carried out the attack.  The Supreme Leader of the Shiite group, known as the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, (IMN), Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky have been behind some key protests in the North.  After spending five months receiving medical treatment in Iran, Zakzaky and his wife Zeenah returned to Abuja early this year with a strong resolve
