In a significant step toward fostering intercultural understanding and economic growth, the Institute for Social Peace and Intercultural Competence (ISPIC) has commissioned its German centre and German Language School at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu. Speaking on the occasion, the founder of ISPIC, Engr. Anthony Dominic, while sharing the project’s vision, stressed its transformative impact on Nigerian youths. “This initiative is about elevating and equipping young people with the skills to excel in their chosen fields, free of charge, while addressing economic challenges,” he said. Dr. Emeka Ani (founder) also emphasised the importance of the program while reflecting on his own struggles abroad 26 years ago. “ I am a product of those who ran away many years ago. The incident has caused concern over ongoing flight schedules, with incoming flights reportedly being diverted to alternate airports in the region. This incident has reignited previous speculations and concerns about Enugu Air’s safety protocols and aircraft maintenance standards. Historically, there have been murmurs within the aviation community and among passengers regarding maintenance and operational safety of the...

According to The Washington Post, the list of countries was contained in a State Department memo. At least 25 African countries are included in the proposed ban. In total, there are 25 African nations facing visa bans or other restrictions. Corruption in governance and unreliable identity documents are the major reasons for the proposed ban. The memo, which was signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, revealed that the governments of listed countries have a 60-day ultimatum, to meet new benchmarks and requirements established by the State Department. It set a deadline of 8am on Wednesday for them to provide an initial action plan for meeting the requirements. The memo noted that some countries had “no competent or cooperative...
