Coal City Art Exhibition - Hope At Last

They say the beauty of art radiates when it is appreciated. That explains that zealousness, curiosity and excitement one finds on the faces of artistes when asked about their creative works.

The birth of Coal City Art Exhibition is one that is worthy of commendation, judging by the first outing.

An art exhibition is traditionally the space in which art objects, in the most general sense meet an audience. The exhibit is universally understood to be for some temporary period unless, as is rarely true, it is stated to be a "permanent exhibition".

Through thick and thin, the organisers of Coal City Art Exhibition have worked hard to ensure that the overall essence of the exhibition is achieved, which is creating opportunity for young and aspiring art talents to be able to showcase their works and overtime generate revenue from them.

According to the organisers of the 5th edition of the Coal City Art ExhibitionGHills Entertainment, this year's event is one of the most successful art gatherings in the South-East region of Nigeria.

The three day exhibition which held at De Kash Hall, Enugu, from October 28-30, 2022, featured 30 artists from across the country.

They showcased their creativity in painting, mixed media, pencil drawing, live drawing, body Paint, and sip and paint.

The Curator and Organizer,  Oarhe Ohis Kelvin, popularly known as MC Ohis, promised to keep adding value to the South East Art and Entertainment sector.

Described as one of the most innovative minds in Nigeria, over the years, Ohis has created various activation that were the springboard for artistes and artists.

According to him, young talents needs to be given the opportunity to trust in their selves, believe in their works and be availed with the privilege to showcase their works within and outside the shores of the country, "this is how it starts", he added.

The event was also laced with performances, poetry and a touch of Jazz.

It attracted people from all works of life, art collectors, curators, politicians, MDs and CEOs, Socialites, and the general public.
