Ekwunife Felicitates Sen Obinna Ogba on His 35th Wedding Anniversary. --- As Lawmaker Dedicates Church Building.

 


The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, Saturday, March 12, 2022, alongside the governor of Enugu state, HE Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, joined the entire Catholic community of Abakaliki Diocese to attend the church Dedication/Thanksgiving Mass to mark the 35th wedding anniversary of Senator Obinna and Dr. Ngozi Ogba.


Senator Ogba, who built the All Saints Catholic Church, Amanvu Nkalagu, Ishielu LGA, Ebonyi state is the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.


The Mass which was celebrated by the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki, Most Rev Peter Chukwu was graced by a delegation of PDP National Working Committee members led by the  Party's National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu, former governor of Ebonyi state, HE Sam Egwu, former President of the Senate, Senator Anyim Pius, members of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, religious leaders from different denominations amongst others.


Addressing newsmen shortly after the Mass, Ekwunife appreciated God for his marital blessings upon the family of Senator Ogba, adding that he is a wonderful colleague. She noted that she was very delighted to be present to witness the double auspicious event.



Speaking further, the federal lawmaker noted that building such a magnificent place of worship for God was a huge spiritual investment, encouraging Christians to always make sacrifices in God's vineyard. She commended Senator Ogba for the gesture and said that the legacy would outlive him.


While heartily congratulating the couple on their 35th wedding anniversary, the A-grade lawmaker prayed God to continue to preserve and uplift the family for more accomplishments in good health and longevity. She emboldened her colleague to keep lending support to the needy and also being a strong voice on the floor of the senate.


Concluding, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation congratulated the entire Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki on the success of the dedication of All Saints Catholic Church.

APC SUPPORT GROUP CAUTIONS RECALLED ENVOYS TO DESIST FROM EMBARRASSING THE NIGERIAN GOVT.

A Coalition of All Progressives Congress, APC, support groups, on Thursday, cautioned recalled envoys and ambassadors to stop denting the country's image abroad. The groups issued the warning during a press conference in Abuja. They accused some of the envoys, particularly the Ambassador to Zambia, of sponsoring spurious media campaigns against the Federal Government and the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
