EKWUNIFE BEGINS DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL FURNITURE ACROSS ANAMBRA CENTRAL

 


In making good her promise to provide education infrastructure to schools under Anambra Central Senatorial District, the Senator representing the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, yesterday, March 11, 2022, commenced the distribution of furniture to selected schools.


The distribution team arrived at Community Secondary School Isiagu and Central School Nise both in Awka South LGA with truck loads of furniture for distribution. They were received by excited teachers and students.


Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ekwunife who was represented by former PDP Woman Leader, Awka South LGA, Mrs Dora Oguocha stated that the gesture was in line with her commitment to upgrade education infrastructure to public schools under her jurisdiction. She noted that the first batch of distribution is targeted at nine (9) schools across the seven (7) local governments of the zone. 


According to the federal lawmaker, over 900 units of furniture items will be distributed to the following schools in the next few days, Central School Nise, Community Secondary School Oraukwu, Community Secondary School Isiagu, St John Secondary School Akwukwu, Community Secondary School Awba-Ofemili, St. Micheals Secondary School Abacha, Agunkwor Primary School Amoji Agulu, St Michael's Model Primary School Nimo and Central School Obeledu.




Lauding the Senator for her giant strides, the Vice Principal Academics, Community Secondary School Isiagu, Mrs Genoveva Mogo and the School Senior Prefect, Christian Nweke in their separate remarks, appreciated Ekwunife for donating furniture desks to the school. They described the Senator's gesture as the first of its kind and prayed God to reward and empower her as she strives to deliver purposeful representation to the people of the zone.

APC SUPPORT GROUP CAUTIONS RECALLED ENVOYS TO DESIST FROM EMBARRASSING THE NIGERIAN GOVT.

A Coalition of All Progressives Congress, APC, support groups, on Thursday, cautioned recalled envoys and ambassadors to stop denting the country's image abroad. The groups issued the warning during a press conference in Abuja. They accused some of the envoys, particularly the Ambassador to Zambia, of sponsoring spurious media campaigns against the Federal Government and the person of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
